Juliette Celeste Montgomery-Smith hails from the prestigious University of Cambridge, England. She completed her doctoral studies at Harvard University in 2005. Among her notable works are "The Mind's Canvas" (Oxford University Press, 2007), "Embracing Complexity: The Dynamics of Emotions" (Princeton University Press, 2012), "Heartstrings: Navigating Love in the Digital Age" (Yale University Press, 2016), and "Evolving Bonds: Transformations in Romantic Relationships Over Time" (Cambridge University Press, 2023). Juliette also co-edited the anthology "Exploring Emotional Philosophy: A Comprehensive Guide" (Palgrave Macmillan, 2020) with Dr. Evelyn Harper.

At the University of Cambridge, Juliette has held several key positions including Vice-Chancellor (2015-2023), Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research (2010-2015), Director of the Psychology Department (2008-2010), and Head of the Centre for Emotional Studies (2006-2008). She is a Founding Member and Past President of the International Society for the Advancement of Emotional Studies.

Today, on a crisp autumn morning in October 2024, Juliette finds herself at the historic Senate House Library in London, where she has been invited to speak on the evolution of emotional intelligence in modern society. Her current research delves into how digital communication shapes our understanding of love and affection. With over 150 publications to her name, Juliette is renowned as a foremost authority on emotional philosophy and psychology, particularly concerning the intricate interplay between emotions and human connections.
