Juniper Baker, an accomplished professional with a background in cognitive science, earned her doctorate from Stanford University and completed advanced studies at Harvard Medical School’s Department of Neurology. She is now a retired professor of cognitive psychology from the University of Oregon, and until last year held a visiting position at the University of Tokyo. Currently, she resides in the vibrant city of Austin, Texas, where she runs a thriving consultancy focused on enhancing cognitive strategies for individuals facing challenges related to neurodiversity.

Author of several influential books including "Navigating Neurodiversity" (Oxford, co-authored with L. Thompson), "The Art of Mindful Living" (Penguin Random House), and "Cognitive Strategies for Everyday Life" (MIT Press), Juniper has also contributed extensively to journals and magazines, writing on mindfulness practices, cognitive enhancement techniques, and supporting individuals with unique cognitive profiles. Recently, she has pioneered a framework called "mindful engagement," which explores how intentional focus can improve daily functioning and personal development. Her latest book on this subject—Embracing Mindfulness (Cambridge University Press)—is set to release in April 2024.
