Kaitlyn

Motto:Success is not about being better than others. It's about being better than you used to be.
Kaitlyn has always had a passion for storytelling, and as a writer based in Austin, Texas, she's turned that love into a thriving career. Since moving to the Lone Star State in 2021, Kaitlyn has carved out a niche for herself writing about sustainable living and eco-friendly lifestyle choices for platforms like TreeHugger, EcoWatch, and Mother Earth News. Her work also extends to feature articles on renewable energy projects for SolarPowerAuthority.com, interviews with environmental leaders for GreenBiz, and opinion pieces on climate change for The Guardian.
Beyond her contributions to online publications, Kaitlyn is deeply involved in the local community. She has been organizing monthly meetups at BookPeople, Austin’s beloved independent bookstore, where writers gather to share their work and discuss ways to promote green initiatives through literature. Additionally, she volunteers her time teaching creative writing at the Thinkery, an interactive children's museum focused on science and technology, encouraging young minds to explore the power of words and consider the impact they can have on the world around them.
In her workshops, which she's been hosting since 2022, Kaitlyn focuses on helping participants find their unique voice and develop stories that resonate with readers while advocating for environmental awareness. Her approachable style and genuine enthusiasm make learning fun and engaging for everyone from beginners to seasoned writers. Kaitlyn has conducted sessions at various venues across Austin, including Whole Foods Market's headquarters, the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, and during the annual Eeyore's Folly Festival celebrating arts and culture.
