Katharine Wilson

Motto:If you want to lift yourself up, lift someone else up.
Katharine Wilson, Ph.D., earned her Doctorate in Psychology from the University of Washington (UW). Her professional journey encompasses a diagnostic internship for developmental disorders at Seattle Children's Hospital, an advanced fellowship in cognitive-behavioral therapy at the Pacific Institute of Behavioral Health, and extensive clinical experience within urban mental health centers. She remains actively engaged in ongoing psychotherapy supervision groups.
Dr. Wilson has lectured as an adjunct professor of Child Psychology at Seattle University and supervised clinical interns at The Sound Mental Health Center in Bellevue and Greenlake Community Counseling Center in Seattle, WA. Currently, she oversees training at Cascade Heights Counseling Center in Redmond, WA, and offers workshops on supporting adolescents with anxiety. She holds memberships with the Washington State Psychological Association, The Sound Mental Health Center Alumni Network, and the Pacific Institute Fellows Society.
Before dedicating herself to psychology, Katharine spent over a decade in education, where she worked as a teacher and curriculum developer for students with special needs. This background deeply influences her therapeutic approach, enabling her to connect with clients who face educational challenges and support them in overcoming barriers to learning. Her teaching experience informs her practice, as she guides individuals towards unlocking their full potential.
In her private practice, Dr. Wilson specializes in working with families navigating the complexities of raising children with ADHD and is committed to advocating for teens with learning differences from a strength-based perspective.
