Motto:The best motivation comes from within. It's the fire that burns even in the coldest winds.
Kelly Thompson, Ph.D., has dedicated the past decade to teaching and conducting pioneering research in behavioral economics. In 2023, she introduced an innovative graduate seminar at New York University titled "The Economics Behind Choices," challenging her students to explore everyday decision-making through economic theories. The seminar quickly became a favorite among students and garnered significant attention from academic circles across the globe. Kelly earned her Ph.D. from Harvard University and now shares her expertise at NYU's Stern School of Business.
As a passionate communicator of ideas, Kelly found her voice when she began blogging about the intersection of psychology and economics on Medium, where her writings soon attracted a large and engaged readership. By early 2024, her blog had become one of the platform's most popular series, drawing over a million unique visitors. Since March, Kelly's essays have been featured exclusively on her personal website.
Kelly contributes frequently to The New York Times and Forbes Magazine, and has appeared on various television networks such as CNN and MSNBC. She's also a sought-after guest on podcasts and radio shows both in the United States and abroad, participating in discussions ranging from financial trends to the impact of technology on human behavior.
Kelly's debut book, Choices and Consequences: Unveiling the Economic Principles Behind Everyday Decisions, is set to release next month, offering fresh insights into how economic forces shape our lives.
