Motto:Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving.
Layla Carter, Ph.D., is a certified counseling psychologist. With extensive experience in both urban and rural settings across Canada and Southeast Asia, Layla has worked closely with indigenous communities, international students, tech professionals, and individuals navigating life transitions.
Her focus areas encompass career development, personal growth, mental health issues such as stress management, and the unique challenges faced by expatriates. Dr. Carter's approach is deeply rooted in a holistic wellness model, blending positive psychology, mindfulness practices, and culturally sensitive therapy methods. As an advocate for mental health awareness, she also engages in community outreach programs to promote psychological resilience among youth and adults.
Having grown up in Vancouver, Layla moved to Bangkok in 2023 where she established her private practice, aiming to serve the diverse population of this vibrant city. Being multilingual herself, Layla understands firsthand the importance of bridging cultural gaps in therapeutic settings. She continues to be an active voice in discussions about mental health policy and serves on several advisory boards dedicated to improving access to mental health resources globally.
