Leo Martinez is a dedicated lecturer in the Department of Environmental Science at the University of California, Berkeley. He earned his B.S. from Stanford University and completed his Ph.D. at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 2018. Leo's work focuses on sustainable urban development and innovative solutions for reducing the carbon footprint in metropolitan areas. His latest project involves collaborating with local governments to implement green spaces that not only enhance the beauty of the city but also significantly improve air quality.

In addition to his research, Leo is actively involved in community outreach programs, where he encourages young people to consider careers in environmental science. This past summer, he led a workshop series for high school students interested in exploring the field.
