Logan Alexander Ellis is a distinguished researcher and the Head of the Urban Sustainability Initiative at the University of Edinburgh. With a background that encompasses an engineering degree in environmental science and a Ph.D. in urban planning, Logan's expertise lies in sustainable development, renewable energy integration, smart city technologies, and community-driven projects.

Having penned over 120 peer-reviewed publications, alongside several hundred articles aimed at the general public focusing on sustainability and urban living, Logan has also authored four books: "Eco-Cities of Tomorrow" (published in 2020), "The Blueprint for Green Living" (2021), "Sustainable Urbanism" (2023), and his latest work, "Building Resilient Communities," which is set to release early next year. His insights have been highlighted across multiple platforms, from BBC Scotland to The Scotsman, and international media outlets such as CNN International, Al Jazeera, and Deutsche Welle.

Logan’s innovative approaches to solving urban challenges have earned him numerous accolades, including the prestigious Royal Town Planning Institute Award for Research Excellence. He is actively involved in various committees and serves as an advisory board member for the Journal of Urban Technology. Recently, he was elected as the President of the Scottish Association for the Advancement of Urban Studies, making history as the youngest person to hold this position. Logan continues to push the boundaries of what is possible in creating more sustainable and livable cities around the world.
