He has earned his doctorate from the University of Edinburgh, focusing on how human behavior impacts urban environments. Additionally, Matthew holds a master's degree in architecture, emphasizing green building practices, as well as a master's in environmental science, concentrating on renewable resources.

Matthew now resides in Portland, Oregon, where he enjoys the vibrant culture and the city's commitment to sustainability. Since 2015, he has dedicated himself to promoting eco-friendly initiatives, research, and education. Matthew has been a visiting lecturer at Portland State University, sharing his knowledge about sustainable design and planning.
