Miles Kennedy

Motto:Life is what you make it.
Miles Kennedy, MA, LPC (he/him) is a licensed professional counselor and specialist in trauma recovery based in Portland, OR. Miles co-founded a community-focused therapy center named Bridgehaven Wellness, where he supports individuals from diverse backgrounds, including veterans, LGBTQ+ youth, and survivors of domestic abuse. Over the years, Miles has devoted his career to exploring the intersection between personal trauma and societal influences.
Since moving to Portland in early 2022, Miles has worked tirelessly to build a practice that not only aids in the healing process but also fosters a strong sense of community. As an advocate for holistic mental health, Miles encourages open dialogue about the effects of trauma on daily life. He guides his clients through identifying triggers and coping mechanisms that help them regain control over their lives. A key aspect of his approach is instilling resilience and optimism, which he finds essential for long-term recovery.
Motivated by his passion for addressing the broader implications of social justice issues on mental health, Miles has expanded his influence beyond the therapy room. He contributes regularly to Psychology Today and hosts a podcast titled "Bridging Hearts," where he discusses topics ranging from personal growth to systemic change. Through these platforms, Miles aims to educate and inspire action towards creating a more empathetic and supportive society.
