Narcissa

Motto:Happiness often sneaks in through a door you didn't know you left open.
Narcissa, a dedicated psychologist and trauma specialist, has established a new initiative called "Healing Horizons" on the serene coast of Santorini, Greece. Launched in the summer of 2024, this program aims to provide support for mental health professionals and individuals affected by natural disasters, focusing on rebuilding psychological resilience and promoting post-traumatic growth.
Seeking to connect with those who have endured loss, faced uncertainty, or struggled with emotional turmoil following the earthquakes that struck earlier this year, Narcissa's Healing Horizons offers a sanctuary for healing and understanding. The program is designed to address a range of issues including grief, anxiety, depression, compassion fatigue, and the challenges of recovery from disaster-related stress.
Narcissa, along with her co-chair Elena Dimitriou, Ph.D., brings a wealth of experience to this endeavor:
Narcissa herself is renowned for her work in trauma therapy and has been instrumental in developing innovative approaches that integrate traditional psychology with holistic healing practices. Her latest book, "Embracing Life After Crisis," has been praised for its compassionate guidance on overcoming adversity.
Elena Dimitriou, Ph.D., an esteemed clinical psychologist, specializes in community-based interventions and disaster response. She has led workshops and seminars on fostering resilience within communities and has contributed significantly to policies aimed at improving mental health services in crisis zones. Elena's research on "The Role of Community in Recovery" has influenced the way organizations approach disaster relief efforts.
Together, they lead a team of experts who are committed to providing personalized care and support to everyone involved. Through Healing Horizons, Narcissa and Elena hope to not only help individuals heal but also to empower them to thrive amidst life’s challenges.
