Nathaniel Martinez, Ph.D., currently serves as a Senior Lecturer and Program Coordinator for the M.A. in Leadership and Innovation Studies at the University of California, San Diego.

He is the author of "Empowering Teams: Strategies for Cultivating Creative Leaders" and "Leadership Dynamics: Integrating Vision with Action for Sustainable Growth." Over the past 15 years, Nathaniel has dedicated his career to exploring leadership development, team dynamics, sustainable practices, and innovation within organizations. At UCSD, Nathaniel teaches courses on leadership principles, creative problem-solving, sustainability, and strategic planning. He also oversees the Professional Leadership Development Certificate program.

Prior to joining UCSD, Nathaniel was an Assistant Professor of Leadership Studies at Pepperdine University. Additionally, he has professional experience working at GreenStep Solutions—a consultancy specializing in sustainable business practices in San Francisco, California. Nathaniel earned his B.S. from the University of Southern California, an M.B.A. from UCLA Anderson School of Management, and completed his doctoral studies at Stanford University.

Nathaniel calls La Jolla, CA, home, where he enjoys an active lifestyle with his family, including two daughters who constantly inspire him to grow both personally and professionally.
