Octavia Harris, Ph.D., stands out as a globally recognized expert in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), with a special focus on the innovative and practical application of CBT principles to tackle anxiety, depression, and trauma. Over the past decade, she has shared her knowledge and skills with mental health professionals across diverse regions, including Australia, Japan, Germany, Canada, and South Africa.
Dr. Harris is currently an Associate Editor for the Journal of Cognitive Psychotherapies and serves on the faculty at the Melbourne Institute of Cognitive Therapies. She has also established a unique post-graduate program that delves into the integration of mindfulness and CBT for addressing emotional regulation challenges, which she leads at the Centre for Mindful Living in Sydney, Australia.
