Motto:Don't let your dreams just be dreams.
Oscar Frank Jones, Ph.D., is a distinguished educational psychologist and professor at the University of Sydney. His latest publication, "Empowering Young Minds: Bridging Education and Emotional Intelligence," delves into the critical link between emotional learning and academic success in adolescents. Oscar earned his bachelor’s degree in education from Monash University before embarking on research at the Australian Institute of Family Studies. He went on to complete his doctoral studies at the University of Melbourne and undertook further specialization in adolescent psychology at Stanford University.
In 2018, Oscar moved to Sydney with his family, where he took up a position at the University of Sydney. There, he has been actively involved in developing innovative teaching methodologies, conducting workshops for educators, and leading research projects aimed at enhancing student well-being. His work focuses on how environmental influences and social interactions impact young people's mental health and development. With over 15 years of experience in the field, Oscar has contributed significantly to more than 120 scholarly articles, books, and conference papers on youth development and psychological resilience.
Beyond academia, Oscar is passionate about community outreach. He serves as a board member of the Australian Council for Educational Research and leads initiatives that promote mental health awareness in schools across New South Wales. Married with two daughters, Oscar enjoys spending weekends hiking with his family and exploring the beautiful landscapes surrounding Sydney. His dedication to improving the lives of young individuals through education and support has made him a respected figure in both academic circles and the broader community.
