Oscar Theodore Wellington-Brown

Motto:Believe you can and you're halfway there.
Oscar Theodore Wellington-Brown, Ph.D., is a distinguished professor of international relations at the University of Cambridge. He has also lectured at prestigious institutions such as Oxford University and the London School of Economics.
In the summer of 2022, Oscar spearheaded an initiative to foster global peace dialogues for mid-level diplomats from various nations under the auspices of the United Nations Peacebuilding Commission. Throughout this engagement, he facilitated workshops that brought together representatives from countries like Finland, Japan, Kenya, Mexico, Norway, Peru, Qatar, Senegal, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Dr. Wellington-Brown's academic contributions span a wide range of topics concerning diplomacy, conflict resolution, peace studies, and human rights advocacy. His insights have been highlighted in media across continents, reaching audiences in Australia, Brazil, China, Egypt, France, Italy, South Africa, and beyond.
He penned the critically acclaimed book "The Path to Peace: Unveiling the True Catalysts Behind Diplomatic Breakthroughs," which provides compelling evidence that successful peace negotiations are often driven by personal connections and mutual understanding rather than purely strategic interests. This perspective challenges traditional views on international diplomacy.
Additionally, Dr. Wellington-Brown authored "Bridges Over Battlefields: Crafting Lasting Peace in Divided Societies." In this work, he proposed innovative strategies for addressing lingering conflicts two years before a significant ceasefire was declared in a long-standing territorial dispute, noting that “the most promising outcome would be a negotiated settlement with clear terms agreed upon by all parties involved.”
Oscar earned his Ph.D. and M.A. in International Studies from the University of Geneva, Switzerland, and holds a B.A. in Political Science from McGill University in Montreal, Canada.
