Patricianne Taylor

Motto:There's only one corner of the universe you can be sure of improving, and that's your own self.
Patricianne Taylor is a dedicated mental health counselor with a rich background in hospital, neighborhood outreach, and academic environments. Holding degrees in both sociology and psychology, Patricianne is now wrapping up her Doctorate in Philosophy at the University of Chicago. At heart, she's a practitioner, focusing mainly on adolescents facing challenges like stress, mood disorders, and behavioral issues.
Her journey through various professional landscapes has underscored for Patricianne the critical role that community and societal factors play in shaping individual well-being. This insight has deepened her interest in how personal experiences intersect with social structures. In December 2023, while based in Chicago, Patricianne began an initiative to bridge the gap between psychological theory and practice, aiming to foster healthier communities by addressing both individual needs and the broader social context in which they arise. Her work highlights the importance of collaborative efforts between mental health professionals and community leaders to create supportive networks that can truly make a difference.
