Patrick Collins, Ph.D., is a distinguished professor of environmental science at the University of Sydney and the founder of the Blue Sky Research Center in Brisbane. He is an esteemed member of the Australian Academy of Science and has been recognized by the United Nations Environment Programme for his outstanding contributions to sustainability.

Collins has dedicated his career to exploring renewable energy solutions across various ecosystems, working closely with local communities and international organizations to foster a greener future; he educates University of Sydney students on creating innovative strategies for climate resilience. Over the years, he has authored seven books and contributed more than 120 articles to peer-reviewed journals. His most recent publication, Embracing Earth's Potential, launched this month from Green Horizon Press, highlights his ongoing commitment to advancing sustainable practices worldwide.

In September 2024, Collins led a groundbreaking project in the Great Barrier Reef, implementing advanced technologies to monitor and protect marine biodiversity. This initiative not only garnered attention from environmental enthusiasts globally but also set new standards for conservation efforts in sensitive habitats.
