Primrose Martinez is a globally recognized advocate for environmental sustainability, social justice, and the empowerment of underrepresented communities. With over 15 years of experience in these fields, she has dedicated her career to fostering inclusive spaces that promote growth, resilience, and innovation. Her groundbreaking work on sustainable urban development has earned her numerous accolades and has been instrumental in shaping policies and initiatives worldwide.
As an Associate Professor of Environmental Science and Urban Planning at the University of New Mexico, located in the vibrant city of Albuquerque, Primrose also heads the Institute for Sustainable Communities (ISC). She is a Fellow of the Global Environmental Leadership Academy, an active member of the Society for Urban Ecology, and serves as the Sustainability Scholar-in-Residence at Santa Fe Community College. Primrose is the founder and CEO of Green Horizons Consulting, where she leads projects aimed at creating environmentally friendly solutions for cities across the globe.
