Rachelle Martinez, Ph.D., is a distinguished professor of Environmental Science at the University of Arizona. Based in Tucson, she has dedicated her career to studying climate change and its impact on desert ecosystems. It has been translated into 12 languages and was honored with the American Geophysical Union's Book Excellence Award in the Environmental Science category just last month.
