Roxana Ray, Ph.D., is the former chair of the Global Mental Health Initiative and author of "Seven Steps to Thriving in Uncertain Times." Roxana has embarked on this journey from her base in Melbourne, Australia, where she founded Mindful Horizons, an organization dedicated to enhancing mental health awareness and support. In 2023, Roxana led a series of workshops that introduced innovative mindfulness techniques aimed at improving personal resilience against stress and anxiety.
Having lived through various cultural shifts, Roxana has always been passionate about understanding how individuals can maintain their mental well-being amidst rapid societal changes. Her work often takes her across continents, where she partners with local communities and organizations to promote mental health literacy and develop culturally sensitive interventions. Roxana's academic background includes a doctorate and M.A. in clinical psychology and community counseling from Monash University. Her post-doctoral research delved into the effects of digital transformation on interpersonal relationships and community cohesion.
As a certified psychologist and counselor, Roxana advocates for a compassionate approach to therapy that acknowledges the interconnectedness of our global society.
