Skylar Grace Hines

Motto:Never put off what you can do today until tomorrow.
Skylar Grace Hines, a distinguished clinical psychologist with over two decades of experience, has been serving the community of Austin, Texas. Since earning her Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin, she has dedicated herself to advancing the treatment of trauma-related disorders, PTSD, and stress management through innovative therapeutic approaches.
In 2015, Skylar completed advanced training in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) at Emory University under the guidance of leading experts in the field. Her passion for helping individuals recover from traumatic experiences led her to author several influential books and over a hundred peer-reviewed articles that explore the intersection of trauma and mental health.
As an active member of the American Psychological Association, Skylar is also a certified trainer for TF-CBT, sharing her knowledge with other professionals across the nation. She co-authored "Healing Trauma: A Guide to Recovery" (Penguin Random House, 2019), which offers practical strategies for therapists working with trauma survivors. Her latest book, "Transforming Stress into Strength" (Oxford University Press, 2023), delves into methods for harnessing stress as a catalyst for personal growth.
Skylar's work doesn't stop at her practice; she is committed to community outreach, regularly conducting workshops and seminars aimed at raising awareness about mental health issues and reducing the stigma associated with seeking help. With her warm and empathetic demeanor, Skylar continues to make a significant impact on the lives of those who seek her expertise.
