Sophia Michelle White, a renowned mediator, psychologist, and conflict resolution specialist, serves as the Director of Peaceful Solutions Center, established in Boston. With her extensive experience, Sophia offers workshops and personalized advice on navigating complex interpersonal conflicts and fostering constructive dialogue among individuals with challenging personalities. Her expertise has taken her across 40 states and into 15 countries, sharing insights and strategies that promote understanding and peace.
Since 2022, Sophia has been an integral part of the faculty at Harvard Law School’s Program on Negotiation, where she teaches courses on mediation and conflict management. Prior to this, she spent five enriching years as a Visiting Professor at Oxford University, deepening her research on psychological aspects of conflict.
White is also an accomplished author, having penned over 15 books and guides. Among her works are "Bridging Divides: Strategies for Healthy Conflict Resolution," co-authored with Jane Thompson; "Empathy in Action: Building Relationships Across Differences"; "Navigating Rough Waters: A Guide to Personal and Professional Mediation"; "Healing Hearts: Emotional Survival During Life Transitions" (with Mark Davis); and "The Compassionate Confrontation: Tools for Talking Through Tough Topics." Her latest book, "Echoes of Us: Understanding and Engaging with Difficult Personalities in Everyday Life," released in March 2024, quickly became a favorite among readers seeking practical guidance on personal growth and relationship building.
