Taylor Jamie Turner, Psy.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist and former associate professor of psychology at the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Vancouver. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree from Duke University in 2010 and earned her Psy.D. in clinical psychology from Alliant International University in 2015 after completing her residency at Stanford University School of Medicine. Turner specializes in cognitive-behavioral therapy for anxiety disorders, trauma recovery, and resilience-building, and has contributed to over 60 peer-reviewed publications, several book chapters, and three books.
Turner is dedicated to translating complex psychological theories into practical advice that can help everyday people improve their mental health and well-being. In December 2023, she delivered a compelling TEDx talk in Vancouver titled "The Power Within," which explores how harnessing inner strength can lead to personal transformation. Her latest book, Embracing Your True Self: A Journey to Authenticity, published in early 2024, delves into the importance of authenticity in achieving genuine happiness and meaningful relationships.
