Motto:When you feel like giving up, remember why you held on for so long in the first place.

Theobald Johnson, Ph.D., is an associate professor of environmental science at the Greenleaf Institute of Advanced Studies. Theobald has always been fascinated by sustainability, ecosystem dynamics, and renewable energy solutions. His research delves into innovative methods for waste reduction, sustainable urban planning, and the integration of green technologies into everyday life. He earned his Ph.D. in environmental science from the prestigious Terra University in 2015.

Before academia, Theobald was a mechanical engineer with Siemens, where he worked on projects aimed at improving energy efficiency. These experiences fueled his passion for finding practical ways to protect our planet. On weekends, you might find Theobald leading community workshops on composting or tinkering with solar-powered gadgets in his backyard. When he's not busy saving the world one project at a time, Theobald enjoys hiking, playing the guitar, and experimenting with organic gardening.

This past summer, Theobald took a group of students on an expedition to Costa Rica, exploring tropical rainforests and studying biodiversity conservation efforts firsthand. It was an enlightening experience that deepened his commitment to teaching and mentoring the next generation of environmental stewards.
