Theodore Fernandez, Ph.D., is the author of "Where Cultures Converge and Science Flourishes" and "Ethical Dimensions in Cross-Cultural Psychology." His latest book, penned alongside Maria Santos, is titled "Dreams Beyond Reality: How Altered States Shape Cultural Beliefs," exploring how various mental states influence societal norms and cultural practices. Theodore has also collaborated with John Kim on "Cultural Narratives: The Psychological Roots of Storytelling Traditions" and "Redefining Diversity: Cognitive Patterns Across Societies."

Fernandez has been an influential figure in academia, having taught at the University of Buenos Aires, covering subjects ranging from psychology to anthropology, sociology, and cognitive science. He has a passion for sharing knowledge and has delivered talks at prestigious institutions and conferences across Asia, Europe, and South America, bridging gaps between different academic disciplines.

In 2023, Theodore was honored as the president of the International Society for Cultural Psychology, serving until 2024. He also held the position of president for the Latin American Association for Cognitive Studies from 2015 to 2017. Scheduled for 2025, he will be presenting as a keynote speaker at the Global Congress on Cognitive Sciences in Tokyo.

As the Carlos Gardel Distinguished Professor of Psychology Emeritus, Theodore played a crucial role in establishing the Institute for Culture, Cognition, and Behavior at the University of Buenos Aires (2010-2020), where he fostered interdisciplinary research and collaboration. With over 120 scholarly publications under his belt, including articles, chapters, and reviews in leading journals, Theodore continues to contribute significantly to the understanding of cultural and cognitive intersections.
