Timothy Nguyen

Motto:There's no place like home.
Timothy Nguyen, Ph.D., is a dedicated clinical associate professor of psychology at the School of Behavioral Sciences at George Washington University. He completed his doctoral studies in clinical psychology at UCLA and spent two decades contributing to the university's faculty and research community. Timothy now leads the Nguyen Therapy Center in Alexandria, Virginia, where he specializes in offering therapeutic support and assessments for adolescents and adults facing anxiety disorders and emotional challenges. Additionally, Timothy serves as a consulting psychologist for MindMatters.org, an online platform providing resources and guidance to families dealing with mental health issues, ensuring that they have access to expert advice whenever they need it.
On a sunny Tuesday morning in early December, Timothy welcomed clients to his cozy therapy center just off King Street. The atmosphere inside was warm and inviting, perfectly setting the stage for meaningful conversations and breakthroughs. As winter began to settle in Alexandria, Timothy found himself reflecting on the journey that brought him from the bustling campus of UCLA to this serene space, where he could make a tangible difference in people's lives. With each session, Timothy strives to create a safe environment that encourages openness and healing, embodying the values of compassion and understanding that have guided his career.
