Wendy L. Carter, Ph.D., co-established the Mental Health Awareness Network of Canada, and served on its advisory council from 2010 to 2023. She is currently the senior consultant at the Resilience and Wellness Support Center in Vancouver General Hospital, a teaching associate at the University of British Columbia, and holds certification in integrative health psychology from the Canadian Psychological Association. Wendy runs a thriving private practice in Vancouver, BC, and has authored several influential publications including "Navigating Anxiety: A Guide for Therapists," "Breaking Free from Compulsive Doubts," and "The Quest for Certainty."

In her early career, Wendy initiated and now oversees the Community Mental Health Initiative in Calgary, Alberta. This program has significantly improved access to mental health resources for thousands of residents. Recognized for her outstanding contributions, she was awarded the Mental Health Advocacy Award by the Canadian Psychological Association in 2022. Wendy is also known for her engaging workshops that have educated countless therapists over the years on how to effectively support individuals dealing with anxiety and stress-related disorders. Her approach blends compassion with cutting-edge research, making her a respected voice in the field of mental health.
