Wendy Susan Young

Motto:Follow your passion, and success will follow you.
Wendy Susan Young, MA, LMFT, brings her vibrant and dynamic presence to her practice, CreativeHearts Therapy, nestled in the heart of Austin, Texas. With over two decades dedicated to nurturing the mental health of creative souls, Wendy has made a name for herself as an advocate for artists, musicians, and performers, fostering an environment where they can flourish.
In 2015, Wendy took a leap into the world of music production, collaborating with several indie labels to support emerging talent. Her keen eye for spotting potential led to the rise of several now-renowned indie bands and singer-songwriters who have since graced stages across the globe. Moreover, Wendy executive produced the Emmy-nominated documentary series, "Voices Unheard," which delved into the lives of underground artists pushing boundaries in their respective fields.
As a licensed marriage and family therapist, Wendy specializes in working with the community she has grown to understand deeply: creatives. Drawing on the principles of Positive Psychology, which emphasizes the belief that everyone holds within them the power to cultivate happiness and fulfillment, she integrates this philosophy with techniques from CBT, mindfulness practices, and expressive arts therapy. Wendy’s approach is tailored to help individuals unlock their inner strength and creativity, guiding them towards leading balanced, enriched lives.
Her compassionate nature and down-to-earth demeanor make Wendy a favorite among many who have crossed her path. She has been instrumental in helping numerous artists not just endure the challenges of the industry but also to thrive—transforming their personal, creative, and professional endeavors into sources of joy and success. In Wendy's hands, the journey toward self-discovery becomes a rewarding adventure filled with growth and enlightenment.
