Motto:The best things in life are free.

Wyatt Collins is a passionate environmental scientist and writer, dedicated to exploring the ways in which ecosystems adapt to climate change. His on-the-ground research delves into the effects of rising temperatures and altered precipitation patterns on plant and animal life, focusing on resilience and adaptation strategies within natural communities. This includes studying both the direct impacts on species and the less visible changes in soil composition and microorganism activity.

Based in Boulder, Colorado, Wyatt serves as an Associate Professor at the University of Colorado Boulder's Environmental Studies Program. Beyond his academic pursuits, he has shared his insights through numerous articles and two widely acclaimed books. "Roots of Resilience: How Plants Are Rewriting the Rules of Survival" was released by HarperCollins in March 2023, shedding light on the extraordinary adaptations plants have developed to survive harsh conditions. His second book, "The Living Earth: From Forest Floors to City Streets, Discovering the Hidden Networks of Life," published in September 2024, uncovers the interconnectedness of all living things and how human activities can either disrupt or support these vital networks.

Wyatt's upcoming project, set for release in early 2025, is titled "Climate Crossroads: Charting a Path to a Sustainable Future." In this work, he invites readers to join him on a journey to understand the challenges we face and the innovative solutions that can help us build a world where humans and nature thrive together. Through engaging storytelling and cutting-edge science, Wyatt aims to inspire a new generation of environmental stewards.
