Xavier Kennedy, Ph.D., has recently joined the faculty as a Professor-in-Residence in the Department of Psychology at Boston University. With a keen interest in mental health and wellness, Dr. Kennedy has contributed over 120 insightful articles and chapters to various esteemed journals and books, participating in numerous research projects funded by agencies like the National Science Foundation, the Department of Health and Human Services, and private foundations.

In his role as a clinician, Xavier serves at the Boston Medical Center, where he spearheads initiatives aimed at enhancing mental health services for patients dealing with conditions such as anxiety disorders, PTSD, depression, and stress-related illnesses. He is particularly focused on integrating mindfulness and cognitive-behavioral techniques into treatment plans to improve patient outcomes.

Since 2012, Dr. Kennedy has held certification from the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) as a clinical psychologist. His dedication to advancing psychological treatments and his passion for helping individuals build resilience against life's challenges have made him a respected figure in the community.
