Xavier Woods has carved out a unique space for himself as an educator, writer, and motivational speaker who advocates for embracing life's challenges with resilience and optimism. Xavier currently serves as a Lead Mentor and Performance Coach at the Thrive Leadership Academy located in sunny Los Angeles, California. Over his 20-year career, he has specialized in sports psychology, helping athletes overcome mental barriers to achieve peak performance.
Xavier holds a Doctorate in Sports Psychology from UCLA and a Master’s degree in Physical Education from California State University, Long Beach. He spent over a decade teaching physical education and coaching young athletes at both CSULB and Santa Monica College.
Inspired by the transformative power of teamwork, Xavier established the "Youth Athlete Empowerment" program aimed at nurturing the next generation of leaders through sports. Additionally, he co-founded the biannual "California Sportsmanship Summit," which is now celebrating its 15th year of promoting fair play and community spirit among athletes.
Xavier is also known for his dynamic speaking engagements and heartfelt storytelling. He has delivered more than 250 seminars on leadership and personal development. His latest book, "The Locker Room: Building Champions On and Off the Field," hit the shelves in October 2024, marking his fifth publication.
With a passion for empowering others and fostering a culture of excellence, Xavier continues to inspire individuals to push their boundaries and reach new heights.
