Yvonne Marsten has devoted her career to empowering individuals struggling with mental health and addiction. A leading figure in this domain, Yvonne is certified in three areas: general psychiatry, addiction psychiatry, and substance use disorder treatment.
Yvonne earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Behavioral Science from the University of California, Berkeley, where she graduated at the top of her class. She then moved on to Stanford University for medical school, followed by a residency that focused on deepening her understanding of psychiatric care.
After completing her Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship at UCLA, Yvonne took up the role of Clinical Director at the recovery center in Santa Monica, California, specializing in personalized therapy programs for patients with co-occurring disorders. In addition, she has been an influential educator, sharing her expertise as a visiting lecturer at the University of Southern California's Keck School of Medicine.
Yvonne is often invited to speak about the integration of mental health and addiction treatment, emphasizing the importance of holistic approaches that address both physical and psychological well-being. She contributes regularly to mental health awareness campaigns and writes insightful articles for The Huffington Post.
