Zane Taylor Davis, Ph.D., is a distinguished Professor of Communication at the University of California, Berkeley. He specializes in exploring how individuals within diverse communities connect to foster, maintain, and evolve shared values, customs, and practices, particularly focusing on multicultural families and digital communities.

An award-winning scholar recognized by both the International Communication Association (ICA) and the Southern States Communication Association (SSCA), Davis has authored seven books across 16 editions, including "Bridging Cultures Through Digital Interaction" (4th ed.) and "The Evolution of Family Traditions in the Digital Age" (9th ed.), along with more than 150 scholarly articles. He was honored with ICA’s Intercultural Communication Award and the Charles H. Woolbert Research Award. Davis also took on the role of President for SSCA in 2005 and led the ICA as its President in 2015.
