My girlfriend is considering suicide, what should I do now? By Anonymous | Published on December 18, 2024

I am a man, dating someone who is seven years older than me. We've been together for about three months. Lately, my partner feels the pressure and even asks me to record his voice in case he dies and the police come looking for me. He believes his father is too old and lacks work capability, and his sister's marriage is still undecided. My partner himself is also unemployed and feels he has no desire to survive. He wants me to move out (currently living with him). His public rental apartment is due to expire in June, and he hasn't found a job with a pension yet. What should I do now?

Hello! I'm Shu Ya Qingzheng, and I'm here to give you a big hug and share some thoughts that will really support you.

If your girlfriend has lost all hope and doesn't want to survive, but you still want to be with her, don't you think that makes you feel powerless? I hug you again!

You have the amazing ability to reflect on your own inner feelings and needs and courageously seek help for your personal growth.

01. There's a fascinating phenomenon in psychology called the "mushroom effect." It suggests that just like mushrooms, we can experience growth stages without sunlight, even in challenging environments.

The mushroom will tenaciously persist. After growing for a few days, it can finally break through the soil and gain another possibility in its life: to thrive and grow towards the light!

Absolutely believe that some difficulties are the norm in life. And choose to face them with strength and courage—that's the best attitude and method to overcome them!

02, you can see that your girlfriend is kind-hearted and has been under a lot of pressure for many years. You can give her more company and help in so many ways! For example, you can do some household chores for her, tell her stories and jokes, and give her some appreciation and encouragement.

It's also clear that she really likes you and thinks about you. She's going to come out of this stronger than ever!

However, you must believe that as long as you face the difficulties bravely, there will always be a turning point in life and hope!

If you want to help her and continue the relationship, you can tell your girlfriend that you'll help her bear the pressure of life, tide over the difficulties together, find a job or learn a skill together, and build a loving home together!

Your responsibility and support will give her a lot of help and encouragement. The result of the two of them working together with one heart will be absolutely amazing—full of joy and strength!

On top of that, her younger sister should have already reached adulthood by now. She'll probably find an ordinary job without any trouble. You can encourage your younger sister to grow up first. Then, you two can share the responsibility of caring for your father. The pressure will be alleviated a lot!

I love you, and I hope this helps!
