Hello! I'm so happy you asked. I really hope some of my suggestions can help you.
I can see that you're going through a bit of a confusing time right now. It's not that we can't work hard towards our goals and take practical actions, but we're more inclined to reject a lazy life.
It doesn't matter if you're a hard worker or a laid-back person, there are pros and cons to both. What's important is finding a life that you love, that you're excited about, and that you're comfortable with.
First, we need to take a good look at ourselves and figure out what we want for ourselves. We can even just think about what kind of life we want to have this year!
For example, this year, I just want to relax and rest. We can allow ourselves to be less hardworking, and that's okay!
Or we can set a plan and give ourselves a deadline, saying that I will try my best to see if I can succeed. In the next three or five years, I will set a plan for myself and fight desperately to advance my career or improve myself.
And so on. We can find a big goal or a small goal, and then make arrangements according to the goal.
And the next step is to accept yourself, my friend.
Once you've made your plan or goal, it's time to accept it. It doesn't matter if you've chosen to be lazy or diligent, either way is fine!
Some folks like the idea of a successful life, while others prefer a simple, laid-back lifestyle.
Any lifestyle is good! The most important thing is whether you can feel happy and comfortable.
So when we decide what kind of state we want at this stage, we just accept the result.
It's only natural that external factors will find their way into our lives at this time.
For example, if we lead a lazy life, others might say, "Oh, you're so lazy! You're wasting your whole life."
For example, if we lead a diligent and hardworking life, others might say, "Oh, you're so dedicated! Why are you putting in all that hard work? It's admirable."
So, no matter what kind of life we have, people who are unwilling to accept us and want to criticize us will always have reasons and excuses to discredit or deny our choices.
So it's really helpful to find our own direction deep within ourselves and then stick with it!
Life is all about you! You're the one who truly experiences it, so your own true feelings are really important.
And last but not least, make a great plan based on your goals!
For example, if we want to be lazy, this doesn't mean we're giving up on life or going to extremes.
We can just let loose and play after work, have fun and entertain ourselves, and even use our annual leave or weekends to go traveling, eat, drink and have fun! We can enjoy life however we like, even if it means just lying in bed and sleeping outside of working hours. We can truly relax and feel our emotions, whether we are in a stable state or a happy and pleasant state.
For instance, if we decide to lead a diligent and hardworking life and want to succeed, we can also set simple goals or small goals. There's no need to go to extremes here!
Take me, for instance. I'm just an ordinary person like you, and I don't need to set my sights on making a hundred million. All I need to do is aim a little bit higher than I can already do.
Let's take studying in school as an example. Our ranking is around 20th in the class, and we can only get to 18th at the most. At this time, we can set a plan for ourselves: for this exam, we can aim to maintain our ranking at 18th, 17th, or 16th. There's absolutely no need to set our goal as to get into the top ten next time. We've already done so much!
And when we set goals, in addition to small goals, we can also set big goals! For example, even though I set a goal of 17th or 16th place, I can still achieve my big goal of being in the top ten before graduation. I can just keep moving forward at my own pace. If I'm happy with where I am, I can make a few tweaks here and there. I might decide to maintain my current ranking, or I might come up with a new improvement plan and keep going!
I really hope that self-reflection will help you become more aware of yourself and find a lifestyle that suits you.
I love you, world! And I love you too, my dear friend!

I totally get how you feel. It's tough when you're caught between wanting to succeed and feeling too lazy to start. One thing that helps me is breaking down the big goal into tiny, manageable tasks. That way, it feels less overwhelming and easier to just jump in.
Feeling procrastinative is such a common struggle. For me, setting very specific goals with clear deadlines has been a game changer. Also, rewarding myself after completing each step keeps me motivated and focused on the bigger picture.
It sounds like you're really torn between your ambition and procrastination. Maybe try finding an accountability partner who can help keep you on track. Sometimes just knowing someone else is expecting you to follow through can be enough to push past the laziness.
I know the feeling of making excuses all too well. Something that works for me is to remind myself why I want to achieve my goals in the first place. Keeping the end result in mind makes it easier to ignore the distractions and stay determined.
Procrastination can be so frustrating, especially when success matters to you. A technique that might help is to set aside dedicated time slots for working on your goals. During these times, focus solely on the task at hand and treat it like a nonnegotiable appointment.
