Hello, I'm the whale social worker, Kiss the Wind!
It's so important to learn to look at the past in a healthy way. Some things just aren't worth remembering. It's so good to take a look at our hearts and minds and make sure that the past isn't affecting our lives today. And it's so important to let past wounds heal.
So, how can we heal psychological trauma?
First, let's start healing those wounds from the past.
It's so important to remember that we can't blame others for the situation we're in today. The most important thing is to heal and move on from any psychological trauma. It's all about self-awareness and understanding. We need to be able to look at what has happened with an objective mindset and put ourselves in someone else's shoes. Some people are more vulnerable and can't get away from some hurts. If you look back at the situation at the time with an objective attitude, it'll help you to heal.
So, it's also a great idea to take a look back at your journey and see what you can learn from it.
Secondly, it's so important to have a self-defense attitude.
It's totally normal for people who have suffered psychological trauma to be cautious and defensive in their relationships. You can still interact with others in a friendly manner, learn to solve problems with a more mature mindset, and continue to grow in your relationships.
It's okay to keep your distance from people who aren't very friendly. You can open your heart to those who are kind to you, and in this way gain some sincere friendships. And friends are good for your physical and mental health!
Third, it can really help you to keep a diary so that you can understand yourself better.
Keeping a diary is a great way to gain a deeper understanding of your emotions and think about what events in your life have caused you to overreact emotionally. This process of self-reflection is very helpful for psychological recovery. If you don't have the courage to face some pain, try not to suppress it all the time — it won't help you to release those emotions.
So, you can keep a mood diary to record your emotions, which can help you reflect and think.
Fourth, find a kind and trustworthy friend to talk to.
Find a friend you can trust who'll listen to you. Talking things through with a friend can help you feel understood and supported, which is so important when you're going through something tough.
Wishing you all the best! (Yixinli Whale Social Worker)

We all carry some level of trauma, it's part of being human. Sometimes talking to a friend or a professional can help us process those feelings and start healing.
Trauma is like an uninvited guest that lingers. When it surfaces, acknowledging its presence instead of pushing it away can be the first step towards understanding and eventually reconciling with it.
It's important to remember that it's okay not to be okay. Seeking therapy or engaging in selfcare practices can offer tools to cope with trauma, allowing for a more peaceful coexistence with our past.
Facing trauma can feel overwhelming, but building a support network and exploring therapeutic activities such as art or writing can provide outlets for expression and aid in the reconciliation process.
