At the age of 27, I read an article that deeply moved me. Can sexual orientation be adjusted? By Anonymous | Published on December 29, 2024

I used to think I was gay, but recently I feel like I'm starting to pay attention to girls again, and I feel conflicted inside.

I was deeply moved by the article "Who would choose to change their sexual orientation?" and feel that I became gay just as the article says (it seems that I have all kinds of reasons mentioned in it). I now feel that I don't like men so much anymore. Is there still a chance for change?

I can totally relate to feeling conflicted. It's okay to experience shifts in your feelings over time, and it doesn't mean you're less authentic. Change is a part of life, and it's important to embrace how you feel now without judgment.

It's really brave to explore these feelings. Sometimes our attractions can evolve, and that's perfectly normal. Maybe this is a phase where you're discovering new aspects of yourself. Give yourself space to figure things out.

The article you mentioned sounds impactful. It's natural to question and reflect on your experiences, especially when they resonate with something you've read. Take your time to understand what feels right for you, and don't rush the process.

Feeling differently now doesn't invalidate your past experiences. Sexual orientation can be fluid, and it's okay to feel uncertain. Trust that you'll find clarity as you continue to explore and learn about yourself.

I appreciate your honesty. It's great that you're open to change and willing to explore your feelings. Everyone's journey is unique, and it's okay if yours takes unexpected turns. Be gentle with yourself as you navigate this.
